We’re passionate about Reformer Pilates — it’s what we do best, with classes running 7 days a week. Reformer builds your foundation: core strength, stability, flexibility, and the body awareness that changes how you move through life.
We added Everyday Strength because our clients asked for it. They understood that as we age, building lean muscle and bone density through weight training is essential. It’s the perfect complement to your Pilates practice — but Pilates remains our foundation.

Build core strength, improve posture and move with control. From beginner-friendly foundations to challenging progressions, every class helps you feel capable and confident.
Reformer Essentials: Start strong with the fundamentals (perfect for beginners).
Reformer Everyday: Our signature full-body class that strengthens, tones and energises.
Reformer Challenge: For those ready to take it up a notch.
Reformer Stretch: Ease tightness, improve mobility and restore balance.
Reformer Aging Strong: Designed for older adults to build balance, strength and mobility.
Our structured 3-Week Beginners Program is being redesigned and will return in 2026.
EVERYDAY STRENGTH CLASSES:
Want to complement your Pilates practice? Step off the reformer and into functional strength training. Using free weights and resistance tools combined with Pilates principles of control and precision, you’ll build the lean muscle and bone density that help you age well.

MEET Jane.

Jane has been teaching Pilates for over 20 years, with multiple qualifications in Pilates instruction, yoga, rehabilitation and stretch therapy. As a post-menopausal woman herself, she understands what it’s like when your body changes — and knows that movement needs to adapt with you.
She genuinely cares about every person who walks through the door and it shows in every interaction. There’s no intimidating perfection here, just real expertise delivered with warmth and care.
In late 2021, Jane opened Pilates on Collingwood Street to create a studio where every body truly belongs — where age, ability and appearance don’t matter. Many of our clients have never felt comfortable in traditional fitness spaces, Jane created this studio for them, where progress happens naturally and where you’re guided by someone who truly gets it.

After a lot of research into which Pilates class I should attend, as a complete novice, I came across ‘Pilates on Collinwood St’. Jane, Mickaela and the team have been brilliant teachers. Their calm manner and professionalism made me feel completely at ease and in the best of hands. This is coupled with a sense of community and support fostered in the room with the other participants. The facilities are light and airy and I bound out of bed on Pilates day excited to get my body moving. It helps that the variety keeps me interested. I can’t believe I’m a Pilates person now, but I definitely am.
When I first started I was really nervous but the team made me feel so welcomed and treated me and my partner without judgement (especially when we embarrassed ourselves with how inflexible we are). After two weeks

Pilates on Collingwood is an intimate, friendly environment. I’ve never liked exercising and was a bit sceptical when I did my trial classes, 6 months later I can say I have found an exercise I really enjoy. Recently I’ve been having issues with my knees while exercising, and with a few small tweaks it’s feeling so much better already, turns out I just needed a little bit of “Jane”. I would recommend anyone unsure of doing something new, give it a try, Jane and the girls are so welcoming & helpful.
