BEEN ON A REFORMER BEFORE?
Strong Start is a four week introduction to Pilates on Collingwood Street. Twelve reformer classes over four weeks at our studio in Albion, Brisbane, with us beside you the whole way.
It starts with a sit down with Jane.

IT STARTS WITH A SIT DOWN:
Before your first class you sit down with Jane for 15 to 20 minutes, in the studio or on the phone. We talk about you: what you’ve been doing, the work you do, any injuries or niggles and what you’re hoping for. Maybe there’s a big trip coming up, a significant birthday, or you’re coming back from an injury. Maybe you just want to add Pilates to what you already do.
If you come in person, Jane will usually do a quick posture check and ask you to try a few small movements. Then together we choose the classes that will suit you best, from Reformer Essentials, Everyday, Challenge and Stretch to Ageing Strong and book all twelve into your diary.
It’s a routine you’re building: three classes a week, every week, for four weeks.
If you’ve had recent major surgery or have a significant injury, talk to us first. Sometimes this is the right place to start and sometimes it isn’t and we’d rather work that out with you than have you guess.
WHAT YOU’LL LOVE

HOW THE FOUR WEEKS ACTUALLY RUN
Twelve classes, three a week, chosen around you.
YOUR FIRST CLASS
Arrive five or ten minutes early and we’ll show you around. We’re upstairs on Level 1, with plenty of street parking downstairs. Your things go on the shelving at the entry and there’s a powder room and a full shower.
Bring a water bottle and a pair of grip socks and wear activewear you can move in. If you don’t have grip socks, we sell them in the studio.
Classes are 40 minutes. Your instructor will already know what you talked about in your sit down, so they’ll know what to watch for and what to adjust. That’s the point of a room of eight.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE FOUR WEEKS?
At your catch up we look at how three a week worked for you and the best way forward. If you know you want to keep coming two or three times a week, a membership is the best value: you make a commitment to yourself and we make one to you. If you travel or your weeks change a lot, a class pack gives you more flexibility. Either way, there’s no pressure.
