How the program works

The program is divided into two parts:

CLASSES 1–2: FLOOR WORK FOUNDATIONS

Before you step onto the reformer, you’ll learn the basics on the floor.

You’ll learn:

  • How to find neutral spine and pelvic alignment

  • How to engage your core properly (it’s not what you think)

  • Basic Pilates breathing patterns

  • Foundational movements that appear in every class

This gives you the body awareness and control you need before adding equipment.

CLASSES 3–6: REFORMER BASICS

Now you’re ready for the reformer.

You’ll learn:

  • How the reformer works and how to adjust it for your body

  • Foundational reformer exercises with clear, step by step instruction

  • How to move safely and with control

  • What it should feel like when you’re doing it right

By the end: You’ll feel confident enough to join our Reformer Essentials classes.

Your first class

Before: Book online or in studio, arrive 5-10 minutes early, we’ll show you around the studio


During: Your instructor guides you step by step through foundational floor work movements

After: You’ll feel accomplished, a little worked, and proud you started


No pressure. No judgment. Just supportive guidance.

What happens after the program?

Once you’ve completed your 6 classes, you’ll transition into our ongoing Reformer Essentials classes.

  • The foundational movements

  • How the reformer works

  • What proper form feels like

  • How to modify if something doesn’t feel right

From there, your practice can grow at your own pace. You might stay in Essentials for months while you build strength and confidence or you might feel ready to try Reformer Everyday sooner.

There’s no rush. You move forward when you’re ready.

No. Everyone in the Beginners Program is new to Pilates. You’ll be surrounded by people at the same stage.

Comfortable activewear that allows you to move freely and grip socks for safety.

You don’t need to be fit at all. The program meets you where you are and builds from there.

If you’re unsure, start with our 3-class intro pack ($55) and try Reformer Essentials first.

Then you can decide if you want the full Beginners Program. We can discuss your options before you decide to help you understand what is right for you.
