BEGINNERS CLASS OPTIONS

  • Private Classes: Start your Pilates journey with a class designed to teach you the fundamentals. This personalised approach allows our instructor to focus on your specific needs, offering tailored guidance to help you build a solid foundation.
  • Reformer Foundations: Our one-off Foundations Class is perfect for regular exercisers who are new to Pilates. This class introduces you to Reformer Pilates with a focus on teaching you the correct form and technique.

  • Beginners 8-Week Program: Perfect for those new to exercise or returning after a break, this offers a gentle introduction to Pilates in a supportive group environment. During these 8 classes you’ll learn the essential principles of Pilates. Please contact the studio for upcoming beginners programs.

FAQs

We recommend starting with our Foundations class, a one-off session designed to introduce you to Pilates principles and techniques. For more structured guidance, our 8-week beginners’ program is perfect for learning the fundamentals in a supportive, step-by-step manner.

Absolutely! If you’ve practiced Pilates before and feel confident with the basics, you can jump straight into any of our regular classes on the timetable (Reformer, Reformer Stretch). Our instructors are always on hand to provide modifications and ensure you get the most out of your workout.

We offer private sessions for those seeking personalised attention. These one-on-one sessions allow you to work closely with an instructor to focus on your unique needs, whether it’s rehabilitation, injury prevention, or simply honing your Pilates practice. Please contact the studio for more information and for booking these classes. A special introductory 3 private class pack is available on our Pricing page.

We recommend attending 2-3 classes per week to see noticeable improvements in strength, flexibility, and overall well-being. However, it’s important to listen to your body and choose a schedule that feels sustainable for you.

Of course! We understand that starting something new can feel intimidating. You’re welcome to call us to arrange a time to meet one of our instructors and take a tour of our beautiful studio. We want you to feel comfortable and confident before your first class.

Before you can start booking classes, you will first need to register as a new client with Pilates on Collingwood Street.

  • Scroll up to the live class schedule on the Schedule Page
  • Click ‘Login / Register‘ at the top of the class schedule calendar (you may need to scroll up to the top of the schedule window to see the Login/Register button)
  • Enter email address and select a password
  • Complete our brief ‘New Client Form

You will be directed back to the class schedule on completion. From here you can purchase a class pack or membership of your choice and start booking your favourite classes.

You will be directed back to the class schedule on completion. You may select your favourite class, and purchase a class pack of your choice directly through this schedule tool on our website, or refer below for instructions on downloading the App (Step 2).
