Reformer Essentials
Perfect for: Complete beginners or anyone wanting to master the fundamentals
Small class sizes mean plenty of individual attention as you learn proper form, breathing and how to use the reformer safely. Step by step instruction at a slower pace, with extra time to understand each movement.

After a lot of research into which Pilates class I should attend, as a complete novice, I came across ‘Pilates on Collinwood St’. Jane, Mickaela and the team have been brilliant teachers. Their calm manner and professionalism made me feel completely at ease and in the best of hands. This is coupled with a sense of community and support fostered in the room with the other participants. The facilities are light and airy and I bound out of bed on Pilates day excited to get my body moving. It helps that the variety keeps me interested. I can’t believe I’m a Pilates person now, but I definitely am.
When I first started I was really nervous but the team made me feel so welcomed and treated me and my partner without judgement (especially when we embarrassed ourselves with how inflexible we are). After two weeks
I already feel stronger and more confident in how my body moves (I can do a squat now!!) Jane and the team are so supportive and kind it is actually the driving force for me to keep returning. So grateful I found Pilates on Collingwood Street.
The team at Pilates on Collingwood are so welcoming and there is a wonderful consistency in all of their classes across all instructors. Their focus on technique is fantastic, and the classes flow so perfectly, with the right amount of burn for all levels. You feel safe knowing they are very well trained and you can feel confident as a beginner or a more advanced student that you will get exactly what you need from each class. Special shoutout to the beautiful studio plants too – such a nice space to be in!
I have done Pilates at multiple studios; however, these classes are by far my favourite as you get a lot more help and a better understanding of each exercise which has helped me seen results so much faster in both my strength and physical appearance. Highly recommend this stuido.

Pilates on Collingwood is an intimate, friendly environment. I’ve never liked exercising and was a bit sceptical when I did my trial classes, 6 months later I can say I have found an exercise I really enjoy. Recently I’ve been having issues with my knees while exercising, and with a few small tweaks it’s feeling so much better already, turns out I just needed a little bit of “Jane”. I would recommend anyone unsure of doing something new, give it a try, Jane and the girls are so welcoming & helpful.
Jane has an incredible amount of knowledge and an acute eye for detail. She takes great pride in making sure that every exercise is performed correctly and you achieve the results you want!
